She dreamt that all the lives that she had led
lay under her like a heap of genocide
Naked on her bed, her hair spread out
like Medusa tendrils,
a dismembered part of her
reached up and pulled her under
darkness swallowing her heart of stone
Oh, I absolutely adored this.
ReplyDeleteoh my...thanks...it is rather creepy image
Deletedidn't know what to do with it....nard to find a story in that mess..so thanks
suz...this is a great write...it captures the creepiness of the pic and gives relevance in our own lives and makes us think...pretty perfect to me...
ReplyDeleteoh Brian..the darkside....it is creepy
Deleteand oh my thank you for the compliment
Were you standing over me last night as I lay, trying to find sleep? Somehow disconcerting and comforting at the same time to find that someone so far away can put words to one's own struggling emotion.
ReplyDeleteWe are all so connected in ways we don't realize or even understand. But thank you for finding the words.
Liv, that image is so disturbing...it was difficult
Deleteand I'm certain that many so it so
But as for your sleep pattern....
I hope you sleep well tonight
and yes we are all connected....hug
This is dark and full of foreboding - excellent response to the image.
ReplyDeleteI did a bit of purging of the image on this one...so creepy it was to behold
Deletethanks
The picture is both erotic and darkly nightmarish, and you had to find these layers in the subject's subconscious. This is what happens to someone who does harm, who has heart of stone, who imagines herself luxuriating in the mess she made. Powerful.
ReplyDeletewell...you could say that :)
DeleteHa Suz, you have some imagination, excellent work.
ReplyDeleteoh John...if you only knew
Deletethanks...;)
