Magpie tale # 104

She dreamt that all the lives that she had led
lay under her like a heap of genocide
Naked on her bed, her hair spread out
like Medusa tendrils,
 a dismembered part of her
reached up and pulled her under
darkness swallowing her heart of stone

  3. Were you standing over me last night as I lay, trying to find sleep? Somehow disconcerting and comforting at the same time to find that someone so far away can put words to one's own struggling emotion.

We are all so connected in ways we don't realize or even understand. But thank you for finding the words.

    1. Liv, that image is so disturbing...it was difficult
and I'm certain that many so it so
But as for your sleep pattern....
I hope you sleep well tonight
and yes we are all connected....hug

  5. The picture is both erotic and darkly nightmarish, and you had to find these layers in the subject's subconscious. This is what happens to someone who does harm, who has heart of stone, who imagines herself luxuriating in the mess she made. Powerful.
