i dont have kids on my own, but having raised my nephews and nieces, holding them esp in long travels and boat rides makes them feel secure... stops the crying too...
I used to think I could that, life and time have taught me it's not possible. There are just some things that our children have to expereience for themselves, for better or worse :(
holding your kids is def important...if only we could carry them always and keep them safe...
