let yourself fall hard

Anything worth doing is worth falling hard for
to do it with passion as if your life force will fade away if you don't
..Don't believe in baby steps....jump! I say!
But trust me, it is a lesson I need to learn over and over
It takes focus and trust and belief in yourself
It is a robe you wrap around your being.....you are what you want to be
and you will be...because you fall hard for yourself
and your desire for whatever it is that you wish to accomplish
do it with gusto or don't bother
do it with full intent and deliberateness
or it wont happen

  1. Good morning!
I have lived by this lesson ...

To all the women of the world ~ live strong!

  2. somehow that does not surprise me,Helen

  3. It's the only way to do anything! :-)

  4. I don´t bounce quite as well now but I laugh more.......Great post!

  5. How come I feel like you wrote this for me? Cuz I'm selfish perhaps. Hee hee. Believe it or not I did this with the motorcycle. Just have to apply it to the other stuff....once I find out what I want to be. :)

  6. Great philosophy!! Fall hard for yourself...that's the key, isn't it?

  7. This is so great.. in fact, it is speaking to me so much I'm going to post a link to it on my blog! Hope you don't mind!

  8. Wise words, wise words.
I believe that's the only way to truly live.

  9. Elena....no i was writing it for ME
    I have to begin again..again?
    again..begin again...you'll see it's easy!
    half assed never succeeds

  10. Perfect: "Fall Hard for Yourself"...thanks for the reminder.

  11. jump, run, hop and do it all with "gusto."

  12. I like this. I never thought to look at it like falling in love.

  13. hi suz,i just saw your comment on lucys blog, echo stress test? just had one done. basically its an ultra sound scan, you are injected with a drug that makes the heart beat faster,or i was. it was ok,but do make sure someone takes you in.over here in the UK i was not allowed to drive for 2 hours after.and oh boy, make sure they park near the door lol. i felt rather drained.tired.but it didnt hurt and was not as bad as i feared.good luck, nice entry, mort

  14. I have much to say about this wise, wise post, but my plan time is almost over and it's time to pick the class up from art. Before I do that, I wanted to invite you personally to join in a blog swap I am hosting. I think you would really enjoy it. Of course, I totally understand if that's not something you're interested in doing. Just wanted to let you know that I'd be thrilled if you would consider joining us. Sign up ends tomorrow. I hope the end of your week is marvelous.

  15. I love this -- and it was something I needed to hear, Suz, wonderful stuff!

  16. I liked this, and it is a good reminder for me, today. I have just returned from my trip to CA. Lots of new ideas, now where to begin....

    Hope you are doing well!

  17. You haven't posted in awhile, everything ok??? HOpe you are doing well! Thinking of you!

  18. Suz, a few days ago I saw a picture of a Western photographer taking a shot of a staving child in Africa. The caption said; "For Christ sake, give the kid a biscuit!"
Your poem brought that back... you are either in life or you are a spectator! Good stuff.

  19. I guess that's what Nike means by "Just Do It"

(But it can hurt to fall hard, especially if you jumped the wrong way! LOL!)

    Nice One Shot, Suz!
