Wednesday...another opportunity to post a poem
thanks to

There is a beat
and a rhythm full of
graceful movements
A symphony being
created, while
floating in darkness,
unaware
that someone
doesn't want music
and will soon
silence
every
note

Thoughtful poem
ReplyDeleteBeauty should never be suppressed. Look at all the music and art we enjoy
Thanks my friend for sharing with One Shot
Moon hugs
oh lord..this was heartbreaking...someone does not want that music...nice oneshot!
ReplyDeleteA true whack to the heart...great one of these oneshots!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of my Ironic Trust poem (the first one I ever did for the Magpie). Heartwrenching.
ReplyDeletePowerful statement you make through your words and accompanying image, Suz.
ReplyDeleteOne can only be silenced reading this. You expressed difficult subject matter beautifully.
ReplyDeleteHah! Isn't that the truth! Cute piece.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, now that I read this again, it can be taken two completely different ways. In my version, the newborn's loud cries silence every note, emerging from his muffled womb.
ReplyDeletePowerful words and image put together. Yet, take the powerful poem away from the image and it's got so many different meanings...and all of them end up heart-breaking.
ReplyDeleteVery powerful words Suz. Well done.
ReplyDeleteVery sad as at times it is so true.
ReplyDeleteThis is terribly heartbreaking for me. I am glad Willow saw two sides of this post.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, after reading this Suz, I feel mine to be very inadequate.
Wow!
ReplyDeleteThe end of this gave me a punch in the gut.
ReplyDeletePainfully well written, Suz.

I guess a title would have helped
ReplyDeleteas a title always adds to a poem
but I didn't..instead used the image
Ouch. What we bring isn't always grown. My poem is The final seaside trip. I hope you have a good week!
ReplyDeleteYou've found a beauty in a tragedy. Certainly makes one stop and think. Well done.
ReplyDeletepowerful because it's true. as usual, suz, you bring me to tears.
ReplyDeleteLife getting ready to beat us down as soon as we enter this world...but we must fight to keep the music alive.
ReplyDeleteVery thoughtful piece.
Powerful One Shot, Suz.
ReplyDeleteAn excellent poem for a sad thought.
ReplyDeleteOH, this makes my stomach hurt. A lot.
ReplyDeleteOh man, that was powerful.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. Sad. So well written that I had tears in my eyes. Let the music happen and love it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and heartbreaking.
ReplyDelete:(
ReplyDeletelovely poem though
hi suz..a powerful poem and then i feel i am being swayed by the comments that evoke even more emotion..thanks for sharing with one shot..pete
ReplyDeletePowerful
ReplyDeleteAnyone would have to have a damned good reason for ejecting that CD before it played to the end! Good case for the 'morning after' pill!
