Anyone who has written a book
who has a fit and trim body
who eats healthy
who is an accomplished cook
anyone who is an artist
anyone who runs or walks everyday
anyone who teaches or learns
who meditates
or quilts
anyone who does anything with skill
starts
It is as simple as that
start
who has a fit and trim body
who eats healthy
who is an accomplished cook
anyone who is an artist
anyone who runs or walks everyday
anyone who teaches or learns
who meditates
or quilts
anyone who does anything with skill
starts
It is as simple as that
start
Absolutely. I posted this wonderful quote on my Facebook page this week.
ReplyDeleteI love all beginnings, despite their anxiousness and their uncertainty, which belong to every commencement. If I have earned a pleasure or a reward, or if I wish that something had not happened; if I doubt the worth of an experience and remain in my past--then I choose to begin at this very second.
Begin what? I begin. I have already thus begun a thousand lives.
--Rainer Maria Rilke
Oh beautiful..and yes, I am familiar with "begin' and "begin again"
ReplyDeleteCan you tell I am trying to talk myself back into yoga class?
Great motivational post Suz, as the Taoists say *or is it the Buddhists?) "The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step!"
ReplyDeleteOh, Suz! Thank you for this!
ReplyDeleteSee, I was all ready to hate these people & then you just say "start."
ReplyDeleteThat puts the ball back in my court, doesn't it? Sigh.
Bug- ha ha yes, in all our courts
ReplyDeleteoh this is wonderful... and so true.

The beginning are precious, beyond all others. They are what is behind it all. Thanks Suz! You have already begun this year, beautifully!
ReplyDeleteWow Suz, I love this. SOmetimes I feel like you post exactly what I need to hear right when I need to hear it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful Suzi...a positive way and a motivating piece that speaks to my heart....thank you...bkm
ReplyDeleteThat is so true. It's how I started my morning walk 22 years ago and I'm still at it!! :-)
ReplyDeleteNice stuff, Sus (and Tess). Sometimes it is hard to get motivated to start but once you do, you wonder "why did it take me so long?" This would be a good word for 2011 too!
ReplyDeleteOh this is especially for me ...as I find 'starts' so very hard at times! Wonderful words, thank you.
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right. But sometimes getting to "Start" is the hard part....
ReplyDeleteRick
Good inspiration for a new year. And a good reminder!!
ReplyDeleteSo much truth in that, beautifully said Suz! :-)
ReplyDeleteI dunno Suz, how about this? 'Startin's the easy part. Stickin' with it comes harder! But if yer don't start, yer never gits ter stick!'
ReplyDeletejust do it....i've got to get that through my thick head...just start. :)
