Yesterday, spent the day with my mom,
watched a movie at the library.
A lot of her friends were there -
she was beaming,
me being there.
You can't buy that with any gold
Sounds like a nice day. I remember going places with my grandmother - I was always treated like a queen by the other ladies (my grandmother didn't believe in queens). My mom hadn't really reached the gray hair stage before she died - we were more like sisters in a lot of ways.
I would give anything to be able to spend the day or even a few minutes with my mom again. Such precious moments... She appears in my writing; you may have seen her violets on Magpie this week, or smelled her cooking there last week =-)
It's nice that you have that rapport with your Mom. My Mom and I have always had a hard time with each other. I keep trying though. Good for you. Such pride.
