Wow! You nailed the next five months in 13 words! How true how true....Looking out at yesterday's snowfall, I keep thinking that I'm just not ready for it. But it is December, after all.....Rick
I like this. :-) Being snowed in is sometimes so peaceful.
being snowbound against my will would be horrible. if it's a matter of choice and I had enough to do, i might not mind it so much! great use of the prompt.
Snowed in! Apropos for the coming season!
I can feel the chill
Locked up tight. Sealed shut...are you still there?
Boiling down a lot of imagery and rhetoric to a few simple words that say it all very well instead. Perhaps even better. Nice magpie.
and perhaps that is not a bad thing...a cozy day inside might be just the ticket...
Maybe they are inside beside a nice warm fire.
what a great photo!
Lovely response to the post
Suz,Old door swollen shut ... a captive depending on your point of view? And who might be inside with you?
this is absolutely gorgeous. xo
The words really paint a picture!
ah I can see a metaphor
Such a strong picture in words.. well done. (again!)
And it's only the beginning! Two and a half feet of snow here makes it hard to get away and barely warm enough to stay. :) Nicely said!
Sometimes I wish for that. I'd like to keep my husband home just one snow day!
Something wicked this way comes?
short and sweet. I like it a lot

Door swollen shut? Stay indoors is the option where many chores can be accomplished. Great Magpie!
To be stuck indoors on a cold day ...with a cosy fire, a warming drink and a wonderful window seat to sit at, a purring cat on your lap, and watch the winter world. Wonderful.
Marilyn thank you for giving me a gentle prod toward appreciation of what is
i have heard stories where the door was shut by meters of snow - think it's not a bad thing...nice haiku!
No getting away - now that could be good or bad depending on who you are snowbound with.
Brigid...good :)
Break the window!
Don't want to get away - there seems to be a world full of warmth behind that swollen door! :)
But I do not want to leave...i love this Suz!!! :-)
