Friday in the city

The day was a bit chilly, but sunny.
Finn was a bit crabby, coming down with a cold.
But we decided that some fresh air would do us all some good,
so we headed to Lincoln Square for a bit of shopping and eating
and antique shopping. We stopped along the way to take in some
local color....

Oh........that last photo...hmmm....well.......greatgrandma stumbled on a broken sidewalk and went down
before we ever got to Lincoln square......instead we headed to the hospital for x-rays....yep..broken
Three generation of women in an examination room...and the fourth generation looked on..
his mother frantic that he not touch anything's what happens

  1. Oh Suz, I am so sorry, This time she was fortunate. I worry about a hip. I have fallen at least 4 times recently and fortunately nothing broken. This is the first time I have visited this blog. I will come more often. I love your pictures.

  2. Great photographs Suz and what must have started as a day with promise...... but it could have been much worse......At least she was surrounded by family!

  3. Oh no! I hope her recovery is speedy.

  4. Your photos are wonderful and it sounds as thought eh day started off so well. So sorry about your mother's fall, do hope she isn't in too much pain.

  5. Oh, no. What a horrible ending to a wonderful day. I hope she is not in too much discomfort.

The photographs are so atmospheric. Lovely!

  6. OH NO!!! Your photos of that neighborhood are so pretty and such a nice day - the three of you taking everything in...and then..."step on a line...step on a crack"? (sorry couldn't resist that). Oh Sue, give her a hug for me.

  7. Ah so sorry about the broken arm.
My mom slipped on wet grass and broke her wrist. Having surgery this morning to put two pins in it.

  8. Oh My Gosh, How could a simple walk in the city get so awful and tragic? Must keep a sense of humor and go on...obviously didn't shop much?!!!

  9. I am loving your photographs. Especially that first one.

  10. Gorgeous photos! Hope your mom is okay...

  11. bless her heart. praying it'll heal in record time!

those pumpkins lining the walk are so pretty.
