Happy Fourth...Celebrate America!
This is just absolutely fantastic!! An entire generation so "connected" and yet so insulated from reality, and from personal interaction and meaningful contact.
ReplyDeleteAnd you nailed it in two sentences! Love it, Suz! Best thing I've read in months...
Oh wow you made my weekend! Thanks Rick..and you nailed the reading of it...;)
ReplyDeleteWow, another amazing piece of microfiction, Suz. After reading your words I see those two girls as starving for male attention/affection as young girls tend to do, trying desperately to fulfill a need that can't be satiated by the opposite sex.
ReplyDeleteI was just dropping in to wish you and yours the happiest Independence Day. May your day be full! May you enjoy laughter shared with family, great food shared with friends, fireworks to make you gasp, a lump in your throat at the anthem, and a full and grateful heart at all we have been given. Happy Fourth of July, my friend!
ReplyDeletesuz, i loved your microfiction 140, it's as if they are in their own little world, eh?
ReplyDeletehope you have a fantastic day, my friend!

Texting has it's own powers of hypnosis.

Loved this Suz, it is amazing that two people can be in the same room and act as if they are the only ones there.
ReplyDeleteyou are so good at writing- love the 135 characters to the image. and I love the zen quote you left at my blog post on my greenhouse.
ReplyDeleteYour final simile is dynamic! So loaded with innuendo! Beautiful!
