  1. I could feel your story going around in your head on your drive to Galena. So did you get inspiration there and did the 'puter work and so how much of your story did you type?

I bet the trees were beautiful there!

  2. No the computer didn't work..at least I couldn't get it to work. I read Agatha Raisin instead. No the story is not coming to me in the way I want it to. Yes the trees were beautiful. Art kept suggesting ideas for me with the story....ugh

  6. Galena....Isn't that where the pumpkin festival is each year, or is that Morton? My dad was from Peoria! You can't make mention of seeing an acorn weathervane and not come back without a picture for show-n-tell! Was it on someone's house or at a store? Curious minds need to know. It's only a 6 hour road trip :)

  7. Good grief,Nanc..you're right! I'm new at this photo thing. Besides I had Mr Know- a -good- picture -when- I- see -it...with me... His idea of a good shot...uh..not so much, mine!
I saw it at the Local artist co-op near the Markethouse Visitor's center. I'll try to find the number and call them...find out more. I believe it was a weathervane with different tops that you could choose. There was a large acorn as one of the options...rusty flat metal cutout of an acorn.. I'll be going back there in two weeks.

  8. Sue,
such beautiful photos, I so enjoyed looking at them all and to see the close up of the tufted titmouse, now I know I saw them in the woods the other day by looking at you close up here.
